Pitch and Weather
The pitch of the Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium offered a good bounce, with a quick outfield, favouring the batters in the initial phase of the game. However, unlike the previous few games, the chasing side didn’t feel any difficulty in batting here in the second innings of the game.
As expected, the weather was hot and dry, avoiding any kind of rain interruptions throughout the entire course of the game for 40 overs.
Toss
San Francisco Unicorns’ skipper Matthew Short won the toss and decided to bat first; however, this decision went in their favour as they failed to defend the target in the second innings.
