Watch, BAN vs PAK | Fakhar Zaman channels inner triple jumper but ends short after comical mix-up

Mix-ups ending in run outs are fun to watch, and Fakhar Zaman added yet another episode to the laugh-out-loud moments in the first T20I against Bangladesh. The Pakistan batter slipped while returning, after coming halfway for a second run, and was too late when he put in a dive to save his wicket.
For Pakistan, Fakhar Zaman top-scored with a 34-ball 44, hitting six fours and a six, but his comical mix-up with Khusdil Shah ended any hopes of Pakistan posting a respectable score in the match. With the team already reeling at 46/5, the opener was looking fluent as he built a 24-run partnership with Khushdil Shah when disaster struck.
Khushdil sent an off-cutter that pitched on a short of a length outside off stump to backward point with the third man player running to his left to collect the ball. Fakhar was quick to complete the first run and started for the second after responding to the fellow southpaw’s call.
But in a sudden change of mind, Khushdil sent Fakhar back, who was already halfway down the track. He slipped while turning back, and that allowed Bangladesh captain Litton Das to redirect a wayward throw back to the stumps. The Pakistan opener could not make his ground even after putting in a desperate dive as Taskin Ahmed ran towards the middle in jubilation.
Fakhar was furious but walked back without uttering a word to his partner, while Khushdil was stone-faced even while realising that he made a late call.
LOL!
Pakistan 🇵🇰 cricket is back on track 😉
