New Zealand continued their unbeaten run in the T20I tri-series with a dominant eight-wicket win against Zimbabwe in Harare. While Matt Henry secured his second consecutive three-wicket haul in the series, Devon Conway's half-century ensured the paltry 121-run chase was complete without any drama.

‌Zimbabwe were put into bat by New Zealand skipper Mitchell Santner at the Harare Sports Club in game number three of the T20I tri-series. The hosts started the powerplay well but lost their footing a bit towards the end as they finished the first six overs with the score at 39/1. The Kiwi bowlers continued to put the lid on the scoring through to the middle overs as well which eventually culminated in the hosts collaping from 62/1 in the 10th over to 98/6 by the end of the 16th. None of the Zimbabwe batters, apart from Wessly Madhevere, crossed the 30-run mark as they finished their innings on a modest total of 120/7. Right-arm quick Matt Henry was the pick of the bowlers for the Black Caps as he took his second consecutive three-wicket haul in the series, while Adam Milne, Santner, Michael Bracewell, and Rachin Ravindra finished with a wicket apiece.

New Zealand also struggled a bit in the first six overs of the chase, with Blessing Muzarabani and Richard Ngarava containing the batters with some disciplined bowling. The former dropped a catch of Devon Conway in the first over itself but made up for it by scalping his opening partner Tim Seifert immediately after as the Kiwis ended the powerplay on a score of 43/1. Despite the nervy start, Conway steadied the innings with an unbeaten half-century, with a bit of support from Rachin Ravindra (30 off 19 deliveries) and Daryl Mitchell (26* off 19 deliveries). Conway fittingly finished the game with a pull shot which found the boundary rope at deep mid-wicket, thus completing the chase in just 13.5 overs.

This eight-wicket win takes New Zealand to the top of the points table with two consecutive wins in as many games.
