India’s white-ball series against neighbours Bangladesh, which was slated to happen next month, has been moved to September 2026. The Men in Blue were scheduled to play three ODIs and T20Is at Mirpur and Chattogram but now will not have any international assignments till October.

‌Team India’s white-ball tour of Bangladesh, originally slated for next month, has now been postponed to September 2026. The Board of Control for Cricket in India and the Bangladesh Cricket Board, after deliberations, have decided to move the bilateral series to next year. This is keeping in mind the international cricketing commitments and scheduling convenience of both teams.

"This decision has been reached following discussions between the two boards, taking into account the international cricketing commitments and scheduling convenience of both teams," the BCCI said in a statement.

"The BCB looks forward to welcoming India in September 2026 for this eagerly anticipated series. Revised dates and fixtures for the tour will be announced in due course."

India were scheduled to visit their neighbours for three ODIs and T20Is after completing their ongoing five-Test series against England in August 2025. The series was slated to start with the ODI leg with the first and second games on August 17 and 20, respectively, in Mirpur. The action would then have moved on to Chattogram, where the third ODI and first T20I were planned before the teams would return to Mirpur to play the final two T20Is.

But now the bilateral engagement has been moved to September next year with BCB yet to come out with the revised schedule and fixtures. That means India, after their England tour, will now have an international assignment only in October when West Indies visit for a two-Test series and players being available for the start of the domestic season in August.
