Watch, MLC 2025 | Donovan Ferreira sends ball into orbit with giant 106-metre six off Mitchell Owen

Huge sixes have been a part of T20 cricket extravaganza but some hits deal telling blows with the sheer power and impact with which it is hit. Donovan Ferreira landed one such blow on Mitchell Owen when he hit a towering six during an MLC 2025 match as the ball sailed out of the ground.
Ferreira’s entertaining cameo ended up as the game-changer in the five-over duel as TSK pulled off a masterstroke to retire out Daryl Mitchell and put the South African in. Ferreira was on nine off three balls when WSF all-rounder Mitchell Owen came in to bowl the final over.
Owen tried to outfox the Protean with a slower leg-cutter but ended up pitching it way short of the batter. Ferreira sat back and with all the time and power pulled the bowl over square leg fielder. But the hit was so good that it flew off the middle of the willow before making its way out of the park.
Ranjane, who was at the other end, was mighty impressed as he rushed to exchange fist bumps but it was Akeal Hosein who pulled the attention with his hilarious reaction. The West Indies spinner was in awe of the shot standing with his mouth wide open along with the other TSK players in the dugout as the commentator jokingly mentioned that a fly might go into his mouth.
Ferreira did not stop there as he went on to hit three more maximums in the over to push TSK to a commanding total.
Unbelievable shot!
What an incredible hit by Donovan Ferreira! That was almost sent out of the stadium! ☄️
