Gautam Gambhir has hit back with a taunt to Shahid Afridi on Twitter by offering to take him to a psychiatrist. Gambhir’s reply has come after the former Pakistan skipper had blasted Gambhir for his attitude and also went to say that he has “no great records, just a lot of attitude”.

Shahid Afridi, at the launch of his autobiography “Game Changer”, had shared his side of the story about the clash between him and Gambhir during India and Pakistan’s encounter in 2007 Asia Cup. He said that he would have finished the clash if the umpires had not intervened and also that the duo had taken personal jibes at each other.

Among other things, he further went on to add that Gambhir “has no personality".

"He who is barely a character in the great scheme of cricket. Gambhir behaves like he’s a cross between Don Bradman & James Bond. In Karachi we call guys like him saryal (burnt up),” Afridi had earlier said.

There is no love lost between the two as the cricketer turned politician Gambhir has not held himself back and has retaliated with a jeer for the former Pakistan all-rounder on his social media handle.

“@SAfridiOfficial you are a hilarious man!!! Anyway, we are still granting visas to Pakistanis for medical tourism. I will personally take you to a psychiatrist,” Gambhir tweeted.
