IPL 2017 | Ambati Rayudu fit and awaiting call up

Ambati Rayudu has tweeted an update on the injury he suffered against the Rising Pune Supergiant earlier in the tournament, saying that he is fit and has been training with the Mumbai Indians squad. Mumbai Indians take on the Rising Pune Supergiant in the second Maharashtra derby in Mumbai tonight.

Ambati Rayudu landed awkwardly during the reverse fixture against the Rising Pune Supergiant at the MCA stadium in Pune and had to be stretchered off the field, during the 16th over of the Pune innings.

However, he tweeted a positive update on his injury that read as follows, “To all da ppl who were concerned bout my injury. I was declared fit a few days back nd I hav been trainin hard nd eagerly awaiting a call up”.

Rayudu’s injury update comes comes as a boost for the Mumbai Indians who are looking to consolidate their place at the top of the IPL standings with a win over their arch-rivals at the Wankhede stadium tonight, after losing their one and only game so far, in the corresponding encounter in Pune by 7 wickets on April 6th.
