Piers Morgan calls for sacking captain Cook after England's defeat

Surprisingly it wasn't Morgan who started the rant, like he usually does when a team he supports doesn't perform well. Former English captain Michael Vaughan pointed out his analysis of where the English lost the match. He tweeted :

The new king of Indian Twitter, Virendra Sehwag, had some fun at the Englishman's expense telling the former captain to "ok now go and sleep".

However, it was Morgan who reacted, the way you would expect him to react, with a rhetorical question about who England can turn to in this time of crisis. The TV host has been very vocal about his support of the South African-born Pietersen and took the opportunity to point out the batsman's credentials.

Morgan then replied to a tweet by Ben Scott (‏@benjam_83), who said that KP would not make another appearance for the National team while Cook was captain, by asking for Cook's scalp and handing the captaincy to Joe Root if it meant that KP would be back.

While it looks unlikely that Pietersen will get a call up again, it sure is fun to see Morgan lose it on the World stage. KP tweeted about the issue as well stating that he did not want to be a part of the debate anymore as he wanted youngsters to get more chances in the team now.
